Student Good Standing Requirements
Attendance:
- Maintaining regular attendance is crucial, as the program encompasses essential knowledge and skills required to become a licensed professional pilot.
- Training is divided into two components: ground school, which includes Air Law, General Knowledge, Meteorology, and Navigation, as well as practical flight training.
- All course materials and skills are integrated to meet Transport Canada’s licensing standards. For detailed information, visit Transport Canada Licensing.
- Both flying and academic skills must remain up-to-date. (e) Students are expected to attend classes and flight training punctually and fully prepared. Consistently arriving late or missing sessions can disrupt training quality and may lead to program dismissal.
Grading:
- All written exams and flight test standards are set by Transport Canada.
- Students must achieve specific passing scores to successfully complete each training module and qualify for licensing.
- Licenses are issued by Transport Canada upon the successful completion of required written exams and flight tests. Learn more at Transport Canada Licensing.
Evaluation:
- Instructors continuously monitor academic and flight training progress.
- Each student’s progress is recorded in their Pilot Training Record, documenting completed training exercises.
- Instructors are responsible for recommending students for exams and flight tests based on demonstrated competence.
- If a student does not meet required standards, additional training is provided before retaking the exam or test with instructor approval.
Accounts:
- Accounts must be maintained either through deposits or individual payment for each transaction. Accepted payment methods include credit card, cash, certified cheque, or e-Transfer.
- Credit is not extended for any account.
Academic Integrity:
- Any incidents of academic dishonesty are reviewed by the Director, the student, and the instructor.
- Students can present their case, or appeal concerns within the school or with Transport Canada.
- Dishonesty within the school may result in dismissal from the program.
- Dishonesty in Transport Canada exams leads to a one-year ban on retaking the exam, which may affect visa status. Appeals related to Transport Canada exams or flight tests are handled directly by Transport Canada.
Appeals:
- Students may bring grievances or appeals to the Director for resolution.
- Appeals must be submitted verbally and in writing.
- Meetings are held with involved parties to resolve issues.
- If a resolution cannot be reached, students are referred to external advocacy organizations.
- A written record of the appeal and resolution is provided to the student and filed within their international student record.
- Appeals involving Transport Canada exams or tests are managed by Transport Canada.
Internal Dispute Resolution:
- Students must present grievances to the Director, both in writing and verbally.
- Action is taken promptly to address concerns.
- Meetings with involved parties aim to find resolutions that satisfy all stakeholders.
- If unresolved, Student Advisors, such as Michael Benjamin and Randy Kerney, assist in achieving a solution.
- Records of grievances and resolutions are maintained in the student’s file.
Student Withdrawal
Withdrawal Process: Students must provide the Director with both written and verbal notice of their intent to withdraw from the program, clearly stating the reason for withdrawal. Both the student and Millennium Aviation are required to notify the Ministry in writing regarding the withdrawal from the enrolled program.
Records will be maintained by Millennium Aviation Ltd. until requested or required by relevant agencies. $200.00 administrative fee will be charged for processing the withdrawal.
All outstanding accounts must be settled prior to departure. Any unused funds on the student’s account for training will be refunded. Withdrawing from the program may impact the student’s study visa status.
Dismissal: The Director reserves the right to dismiss a student for due cause, resulting in discontinuation of the program.
Grounds for dismissal include, but are not limited to, dishonesty in exams, poor attendance, inadequate progress, inability to comprehend or complete the program, abusive or harassing behavior, and destructive conduct.
A meeting between the student and the Director will be held to discuss the reason for dismissal. Dismissal will be communicated both verbally and in writing to the student.
The Ministry will be informed of the reason for and action taken regarding the dismissal. Millennium Aviation Ltd. will retain records of the dismissal until requested or required by relevant agencies.
$250.00 administrative fee will be applied for processing the dismissal. All financial accounts must be cleared before the student’s departure. Any unused funds on the student’s account will be refunded. Dismissal from the program may impact the student’s study visa status.
Transfers: Students must provide written notice to the Director and the Ministry of their intent to transfer to another institution. The Director will meet with the student to plan and facilitate the transfer process. Millennium Aviation will contact other institutions to explore potential placement opportunities and gather relevant information.
Transfer arrangements will be finalized after a thorough evaluation of the accepting institution. Student records will be transferred to the new institution.
$250.00 administrative fee will be charged for processing the transfer.

Revocation Process:
- Upon receiving notification of designation revocation, Millennium Aviation will contact the Ministry for guidance on required procedures.
- Students will be promptly informed of the revocation both verbally and in writing.
- Meetings will be held between students and Millennium Aviation to explore transfer options to other institutions.
- The transfer process will begin immediately, given the potential urgency regarding study visa validity.
- Other institutions will be contacted to determine acceptance and address transfer-related details.
- Transfer plans will be tailored to accommodate the needs of all students.

- Final transfer decisions will be made collaboratively by the student and Millennium Aviation.
- Millennium Aviation will coordinate with the accepting institution to finalize the transfer and exchange necessary information.
- Any remaining funds will be refunded to the student.
- The Ministry will be notified upon completion of the transfer process.
Student Records:
1. Millennium Aviation maintains student records, including course information, indefinitely in secure files. Student files may include (as applicable):
- Enrollment and Agreement Contract
- Acceptance Letter
- PAL Letter
- Birth Certificate
- Passport Copy
- Study Visa Copy
- Licenses
- Radio Operator Certificate
- Current Transport Canada Medical Certificate
- Recommendations for exams and flight tests
- Exam results
- Correspondence related to enrollment, transfers, dismissal, or other matters.
- Classroom attendance for Ground School is recorded in the Ground School.
Book and added to the Pilot Training Record. Online attendance is also recorded.
2. Flight training records are documented in the Pilot Training Record and on official Flight Sheets. All these records are kept indefinitely.
3. Financial transactions, including payments, invoices, and statements, are stored in Millennium Aviation’s head office system and are available upon request.
4. Students may request records related to Ground School attendance, flight training, and finances at any time.
