Instrument Rating – Don’t let weather limit your flying.
An Instrument Rating gives you the training and confidence to operate in reduced visibility and challenging conditions, making you a more skilled and versatile pilot.
We offer three types:
- Group 1 (for multi-engine airplanes with offset thrust; like our Twin Comanche).
- Group 2 (for multi-engine airplanes with centreline thrust; like a Cessna 337).
- Group 3 (for single-engine airplanes).
With a Group 1 IR; a person may:
- Fly any multi-engine or single-engine airplane under Instrument Flight Rules (IFR).
With a Group 2 IR; a person may:
- Fly a multi-engine airplane with centreline thrust, or a single-engine airplane under Instrument Flight Rules (IFR).
With a Group 3 IR; a person may:
- Fly a single-engine airplane under Instrument Flight Rules (IFR).
PREREQUISITES:
- Education: Millennium requires a high school diploma or an equivalent secondary school completion.
- Age: Must be at least 18 years.
- Medical: Category 1 Aviation Medical required.
Course Length:
- Anticipate 2- 3 weeks full-time, 2- 3 months part-time.
REQUIREMENTS
- Complete written exam.
- 50 hours cross-country flight time as Pilot in Command.
- 40 hours of instrument time.
- Complete flight test.
